theClubhouse Code Boot Camp Junior Web Developer Certificate

This 12 week course will take you from beginner to full stack junior web developer.

This class covers the fundamentals of full stack web development including front-end languages such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as Node.js and SQL. Students will learn how to design a database and connect it to an application’s front end user interface. We will also cover how to take those skills and implement them along with server-side technology to create a full-scale application which the student will deploy to Heroku. We will also be covering virtual machines and APIs, along with using Postman to test our applications. This class will also touch on data structures and algorithms, as well as tips on interview preparedness and professionalism both online and in real life. This is an exciting and challenging course that focuses on comprehension as opposed to memorization. Students will be expected to learn at their own pace and manage their learning time effectively. Resources for the course are provided with each lesson, however it is highly encouraged that students spend time honing their independent researching skills outside of the class. Students are encouraged to use community resources like stack overflow to supplement the lessons in this course. These skills will be useful when the student completes the course and continues their educational and or professional journey.
